The hollow rotor is used in high flow conditions.The hollow rotor weight is only about 20% as much as a solid rotor, but the strength is the same as a solid rotor.It can greatly reduce the cost of the pump.The lighter weight also reduces the pressure of the rotor on the stator rubber, extending the life of the pump.
